Waterfest and The Landscape Revival Native Plant Expo and Market

Celebrate two great events in one day, Saturday, June 1:

WaterFest 2013 is a free family festival celebrating our clean lakes and offers an opportunity for hands-on learning about the water quality, wildlife, and special ecological features of our beautiful watershed. Join a fun-filled day of free activities featuring food, exhibits, activities, a parade and more, from 11 a.m to 4 p.m. at Phalen Lake Park, St. Paul.

The Landscape Revival - Native Plant Expo and Market offers gardeners one convenient location to shop for Minnesota native plants from 12 local native growers and learn how to use the plants from eight conservation organizations. Accessory products such as organic compost, rain barrels and native plant seed will also be for sale. It will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Community Pavilion at the Rainbow Foods in Roseville.


The Lions Club

Shoreview Northern Lights Variety Band

Want to play band music? Meet new people? Serve your community? Have fun? Then you are ready to join the Shoreview Northern Lights Variety Band (SNLVB)! Membership is open to wind instrument and percussion players 16 years of age or over. The band rehearses at the Shoreview Community Center on Tuesday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m. Auditions are not required.

The SNLVB is under the musical direction of Mr. Merle Danielson. Dr. Michael Scott is the Resident Guest Conductor. The band is a premier adult community band based in Shoreview, Minnesota. It has a membership of over seventy (70) adult volunteer musicians. SNLVB is incorporated as a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization and is governed by an elected Board of Directors. Shoreview-Einhausen Sister City Association (SESCA)

The Shoreview-Einhausen Sister City Association (SESCA) is a non-profit sister city organization uniting people from Shoreview, MN, U.S.A., and Einhausen, Hesse, Germany. Our mission is to promote friendship and international goodwill by creating opportunities for all citizens of the greater Shoreview area to experience the German culture through a variety of social, educational, economic, municipal and cultural activities, with an emphasis on exchanges and personal interactions with the people of Einhausen, Germany.

SESCA, in cooperation with CETA Tours, also announces our 10th Anniversary Tour to Germany in August 2013.

2013 is a special year for SESCA, as we celebrate the 10th anniversary of the signing of our formal sister city agreement with Einhausen. Our tour features Berlin, Rostock, Hamburg and other locations in northern Germany. You are invited to participate.


Beyond the Yellow Ribbon of Suburban Ramsey County

"Build a Burger for the Troops" - Volunteers from the Beyond the Yellow Ribbon of Suburban Ramsey County network will be serving up hamburgers and french fries at the White Bear Lake VFW every second Monday of the month from 5 to 8 p.m. Cost is $5 for a hamburger and chips; substitute fries for $1 more. Stop by for dinner and show your support for our troops.

Gallery 96 Art Center

The mission of the Gallery 96 Art Center is to display the visual art of the community and to educate the community about the visual arts.

Gallery 96 was established early in 1998, when a small group of suburban residents interested in the visual arts gathered around Tomi McClellan's kitchen table to plan a non-profit art center. Today, that kitchen conversation has grown into an active, vigorous organization that promotes art education in the community and gives emerging artists a venue to share their art.


Shoreview Community Foundation

The Shoreview Community Foundation seeks to maintain, enhance and enrich the quality of life in Shoreview by connecting the generosity of people with the evolving needs of the community.

Shoreview Historical Society

The Shoreview Historical Society is dedicated to preserving Shoreview's history. They explore genealogy, early settlers, early agriculture, governmental events and antique collecting.

Slice of Shoreview Days

The Slice of Shoreview Days is an annual festival held to celebrate life in Shoreview, Minnesota. The "Slice", as it has come to be known, incorporates a wide variety of family-oriented activities including a carnival, parade, art and craft fair, food vendors and lots of entertainment and, of course fireworks.

Shoreview Community Garden Club

The Shoreview Community Garden Club meets at the Shoreview Community Center on the first Wednesday of the month at 7:00 pm. Experienced or beginners gardeners, all are welcome. Speakers talk on a wide range of gardening topics. Summer tours are held to gain information and ideas. A Spring Plant Sale is held with members contributing hardy plants from their gardens to raise money for Speakers and Activities during the year.
