Eligibility to Vote
You can vote on Election Day if you
are at least 18 years old
are a citizen of the United States
are a Minnesota resident for 20 days immediately preceding Election Day
are a resident of Ramsey County and the precinct in which you wish to vote
are not under court-ordered guardianship in which the court revokes your right to vote
are not found by a court to be legally incompetent to vote
have the right to vote because, if you have been convicted of a felony, your felony sentence has expired (been completed) or you have been discharged from your sentence

Shoreview has seven polling places, all of which are handicapped assessible. You must vote in the precinct in which you live. Voters unable to enter a polling place, may with the assistance of two election judges of different political parties, register and vote without leaving their vehicle.

Find Your Caucus Location
Precinct caucuses are the first step used by Minnesota’s major political parties to select the candidates and issues they will support in the state elections. They are open to the public. To participate at the next state precinct caucus you must be eligible to vote in the November 2, 2010 state general election and support or be likely to support the candidates of the political party of the caucus you attend. No public meetings or school functions may take place after 6:00 p.m. on precinct caucus day.

Absentee Voting
You can vote by absentee ballot if you are unable to vote in person on Election Day because you are:
away from your precinct on Election Day
have an illness or disability that prevents you from voting at your polling place
unable to vote on Election Day due to religious observance
serving as an election judge in a precinct other than your own
