Presented by Paul Gardner, Shoreview Resident, Master Water Steward, and Water Conservation Advisor
How rainfall interacts on our personal property makes an impact on water quality in nearby lakes, rivers, and streams. The Freshwater Society’s Master Water Steward Program trains residents on how to make their property mimic the natural environment for better water quality. Paul Gardner will share how his home became an “experiment station.” See what it takes to infiltrate rain back into the ground, reuse rainwater, and reduce the risk of having water in your basement. Paul will also share affordable tips to reduce indoor and outdoor water use.
This event is part of the 2019 Environmental Speaker Series, presented by the Shoreview Environmental Quality Committee. All presentations are held in the City Council Chambers starting at 7 p.m. and last approximately 45 minutes with additional time for questions. Each event will be televised on the City’s Cable Channel 16 live in the evening and scheduled for replays. Call 651.490.4665 for more information.
