694 & Rice Street
Update 6/13: Rice Street between Vadnais Boulevard and Gramsie Road is now open to northbound traffic only. The timeline for reopening the southbound lane remains dependent on weather conditions and water levels. Update 5/28: Rice Street between Vadnais Boulevard and Gramsie Road will close to traffic in both directions at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 29 due to significant flooding.
Update 5/8: Rice Street between Vadnais Boulevard and Gramsie Road has reopened to northbound traffic only.
The timeline for reopening to southbound traffic remains dependent on weather conditions and water levels. The westbound I-694 ramp to Rice Street, which also closed in April due to flooding, remains closed.
Update 4/17: Rice Street is closed due to flooding between Vadnais Boulevard and Gramsie Road. Local traffic should take alternate routes.
- Westbound I-694 ramp to Rice Street
The westbound I-694 ramp to Rice Street will be closing due to flooding on Rice Street. Traffic will be detoured on westbound I-694 to Lexington Avenue, then south on Lexington Avenue to County Road C, then east on County Road C to Rice Street.
- Eastbound I-694 ramp to Rice Street
Traffic is currently detoured east on I-694 to I-35E south to Little Canada Road, then west on Little Canada Road to Rice Street.
- Westbound I-694 ramp from Rice Street
A new detour will be in place due to flooding on Rice Street. Traffic will be detoured south on Rice Street to County Road C, then west on County Road C to Lexington Avenue, then north on Lexington Avenue to I-694.

Ramsey County is reconstructing the interchange at I-694 and Rice Street adjacent to the communities of Shoreview, Little Canada and Vadnais Heights. Starting April 1, all traffic from North Owasso Boulevard to Vadnais Boulevard will shift to the east half of the road with one lane open in each direction. The stop light at Vadnais Lake Boulevard and Rice Street will become an all-way stop. The west half of the road will be closed for construction.

35W North MNPass
Update June 13: The County Road I exit from Southbound I-35W is now closed for construction. The exit will reopen in late fall 2019.
Update May 28: Beginning 8 p.m. Tue, May 28, SB I-35W will be reduced to three lanes between the northern Highway 10 interchange and Mounds View Boulevard until November 2019. Beginning June 7 the ramp from southbound I-35W to County Road I will be closed.
MnDOT’s I-35W North MnPASS project between Roseville and Lino Lakes began in early April. Drivers should prepare for lane and ramp closures during the three-year project, which will repair aging infrastructure and improve mobility on the freeway
