How long has your business been in Shoreview?

I opened my shop in November of 2017. So, we have been here just a little over 2.5 years.

How has the Covid-19 pandemic impacted your business?

We were on track to have the best year so far and our catering business had been taking off. That all changed mid-March and our ability to serve our customers as we normally do went away and our catering business dried up overnight. I had to lay off my staff member and rely on my kids to help cover the daily operations. Our industry is still facing a bunch of challenges and will take a long time to return to normal.

How has the emergency assistance program helped you?

The program helped us to jump a major hurdle and get on track to stay viable. We were able to apply the money to existing debt that in turn allowed us to reduce our outflows. This in turn allowed us to make financial decisions including bringing staff back and returning to some sort of normalcy.

Anything else you'd like to share about your business or the impact of the program?

This program has been an amazing gift. We cannot begin to tell you how grateful we are.

How long has your business been in Shoreview?

Shore96 opened in December of 2016

How has the Covid-19 pandemic impacted your business?

Per executive orders we have been closed since March 17. This severely impacted our business and employees. We were still required to pay our bills including rent, utilities etc., but we had no income coming in & our employees were forced to resort to unemployment.

How has the emergency assistance program helped you?

We are so thankful for the help from the City of Shoreview. The loan is helping us pay our bills as we try to get back on our feet and open our doors while still complying with Covid regulations.

Anything else you'd like to share about your business or the impact of the program?

We are a small, family-owned business who loves serving the City of Shoreview.  Trying to make it through Covid was very hard for us and our employees, we are so thankful for the help we received and the support from the community. Thank you!
