City council approves temporary outdoor service areas

Post Date:05/28/2020 10:00 AM

Earlier this week, the city council approved a resolution to temporarily waive city requirements for outdoor areas at businesses. This is in response to phase II of Governor Walz’s Stay Safe MN plan. This phase allows for certain businesses to have outdoor services on June 1.

Businesses may now apply for a permit to add or expand an outdoor service area. This could include outdoor dining, retail, or classes.
