2018 Commission Vacancies
Several citizen groups advise the Shoreview City Council on a variety of issues. The City Council is seeking applications from persons interested in serving on the following committees:
The Environmental Quality Commission provides recommendations to the City Council on issues relating to the environment, water quality and solid waste. They meet regularly on the fourth Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m.
The Human Rights Commission advises and aids the city of Shoreview by establishing and promoting a community standard of equal opportunity and freedom from discrimination. They meet on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m.
The Planning Commission prepares and reviews the City’s comprehensive plan, adopts and enforces official controls to implement the City’s plans, and reviews and makes recommendations on all development applications. They meet on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m.
Persons interested in serving on any of these committees must complete an application by November 15, 2017.
