The city, along with six other communities, contracts with Ramsey County for police services. The Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office provides law enforcement and public service. The Sheriff’s Office is committed to leadership in public safety, through professionalism and partnership with other agencies.

Neighborhood Watch

Neighborhood Watch is an association of neighbors who work with the Ramsey County Sheriff's Office to detect and deter crime. This program is critical to safety and security in our community. There are currently 47 organized Neighborhood Watch groups in the city. Learn more by visiting the Neighborhood Watch website. 

Events

Night to Unite brings together neighbors and public safety personnel to promote safe communities. This annual celebration takes place on the first Tuesday in August. Visit the Night to Unite website for more details or to register.

Citizen Academy

The Ramsey County Sheriff’s Citizen Academy gives citizens an opportunity to learn more about the Sheriff’s Office. Participants learn about the broad array of services provided by Minnesota’s first law enforcement agency.
