The Environmental Quality Committee annually hosts a winter speaker series on environmental topics. Four speakers are featured each year, with presentations occurring between the months of January and May.   When selecting speakers, the Committee seeks experts in their fields to give a presentation on topical issues, with time for discussion.

The 2018 Series includes the following topics: 

  • Smart Salting for Safe Roadways - February 21st
  • Climate Change and Our Health - March 21st
  • Urban Forestry Issues in Shoreview - April 18
  • Landscaping with Native Plants - May 16
