Shoreview's 2016 Capital Improvement Program includes the rehabilitation of the pavement on Gramsie Road from Victoria Street east to Gramsie Court.
The project was awarded to Northwest Asphalt. The City is currently working with the contractor on a construction schedule for the project.

All major work on the project is completed.
The contractor has finished paving the final layer of asphalt and striping the road. Installation of the trail fence and street signs are the only major work left before the project is concluded. Thank you for your continued patience and cooperation during the course of this project.
The Contractor plans to install the top layer of asphalt in the area that was raised in 2017 the week of July 23rd. Once that asphalt is installed striping will be completed.
The contractor has completed the work on the trail and will start restoration of the disturbed areas and install fencing the week of July 9th. Once the restoration work is complete the final layer of asphalt will be installed.
Gramsie Road is now open and the contractor is finishing work on the trail.
Gramsie Road may potentially be closed over the weekend of June 23rd-24th to allow the contractor to finish the culvert installation process.
Gramsie Road Update 6-18-18
As part of a larger project to address high water levels in the Grass Lake basin area, the Ramsey-Washington Metro Watershed District will be installing a culvert under Gramsie Road. The installation of the culvert will require the road to be closed to through traffic starting Wednesday, June 20th through Friday, June 22nd.
Gramsie Road Update 6-12-18
The week of June 11, the contractor will start constructing a bituminous trail along the south side of the road west of the pedestrian underpass and will also complete miscellaneous grading along the road edge. The road will remain open, but temporary traffic will be required along the edge of the road where the work is being completed.

The roadwork is complete and now open.
Gramsie Road Update 11-13-17
The base layer of asphalt has been paved and the road has been striped for traffic. Before the road is open to traffic, the guardrails on the north and south side of the road and the fence along the trail have to be installed. This work, along with site restoration, is scheduled to be completed by the end of the week.
Gramsie Road Update 10-30-17
The contractor is finishing grading the road and plans to pave the first lift of asphalt on Tuesday, October 31st. Gramsie Road is still closed to traffic, please continue to use alternative routes. Thank you for your continued cooperation and patience.
Gramsie Road Update 10-20-17
The retaining wall on the south side of Gramsie Road has been completed. The contractor will begin grading the road for paving. Gramsie Road is still closed to traffic.
Gramsie Road Update 10-13-17
Gramsie Road is now closed to traffic for the next 4 to 6 weeks. Residents on Gramsie Road will have access to their driveways throughout the project. The contractor has reclaimed the pavement and underlying base material on the existing road and trail and is now in the process of building a new retaining wall on the south side of the road. Work on the retaining wall will take a few days and be completed by early next week.
Gramsie Road Update 10-04-17
Gramsie Road will be closed starting Monday, October 9th between Mackubin Street and Hodgson Road for road construction. The temporary section of Gramsie Road will be permanently raised above current flood levels. This work is expected to take from 4 to 6 weeks depending on the weather. Please plan to use alternative routes. Thank you for your cooperation.

Temporary repairs to Gramsie Road have been completed, and it is now open to traffic. Due to the temporary nature of the repairs, we ask traffic to slow down. The speed limit has been reduced to 25 mph through the raised area.
