The public hearing for the project was held on March 4th during the regular Council meeting. A PDF of the presentation for the meeting is attached. After the public hearing the City Council authorized preparation of plans and specifications and ordered the improvement. It is expected final plans and specifications will be presented to the Council for approval at the March 18th Council meeting.
Proposed improvements include installation of 6-inch water main from Bucher Avenue into St. Albans Court, installation of water services to the property line of the eight properties along St. Albans Court, and replacement of roadway pavement and concrete curb and gutter. The work to install the water main and reconstruct the roadway is similar to the type of work that would be completed for the Wabasso Neighborhood Reconstruction project. The two projects are being studied simultaneously with the intent of them being combined into a single construction contract to provide an economy of scale. Assessments are proposed for the project.
