Rent a park shelter

Park shelters can be rented for $65. Rentals include exclusive use of the shelter for the day from 8 am - 8 pm. Shelters are reserved on a first come first serve basis.

Sitzer 4 tables; up to 32 people
Mound Ave (at Commons) 4 tables; up to 24 people

The destination playground is not available for rent. The Commons Park shelter, located around the corner on Mound Avenue, is about a 5 minute walk to the destination playground.

Rice Creek Fields is not available for rental.

Shelter rental policies and guidelines

  • You must get city approval for any inflatables and give the city a certificate of insurance
  • If someone else is using the shelter, show them your receipt and explain that you have rented the shelter
  • Renting a park shelter does not include exclusive use of the park
  • Electricity is not available at all shelters
    • Bucher and Sitzer both have a 20 amp outlet
  • The city will not provide extra picnic tables
  • Place all trash in trash containers
  • Place all recyclable items in recycling containers
  • Do not put hot charcoals in the trash containers.
  • Only park in the designated parking areas
    • Vehicles are not allowed on the grass, sidewalk, etc.
  • Dogs must be on leashes and cleaned up after
  • Alcohol is not allowed in any of the city parks
  • Park buildings are not available to rent
  • Rental fees are non-refundable
    • All cancellations must be submitted in writing

The following parks are owned and operated by Ramsey County Parks and Recreation but located in Shoreview. Shelters can be reserved at 651-748-2500 or online at the Ramsey County website for the following parks:
