Every business that wants to sell cannabis must get an annual registration.
- Cannot sell these products for on-site consumption
- Cannot sell these products to people under 21 years old
The city has a cap of three cannabis retail registrations. Currently, all three have been approved by the city council. The city does not have a cap for lower potency hemp edible retail registrations.
Submit these items with the application:
- Copy of your state license or written notice for preapproval from the Minnesota Office of Cannabis Management
- Certificate of liability insurance
- Written description of the type of business, offered services, and items for sale
- Floor plan of the licensed premises (drawn to scale)
- Certificate of compliance for Minnesota workers’ compensation law
- Temporary cannabis events
- Written permission from property owner
- Copy of your application to the Minnesota Office of Cannabis Management
- Fee
- Cannabis retail registration - $500 (initial and first renewal); $250 (additional renewals)
- Low potency hemp edible retail registration - $125
