Target pond improvement project

  • Project scheduleFall

The pond near Target on Lexington Avenue is owned and maintained by the city. With funding assistance from a Rice Creek Watershed District stormwater management grant, the city will construct improvements to improve water quality. A new iron filtration treatment bench will be installed to remove phosphorus from the stormwater before it travels downstream from the pond to Valentine Lake.

Traffic lanes on Lexington Avenue will shift to the west side, just south of Red Fox Road. No road closures.

The project is funded by the city's surface water fund and a grant from the Rice Creek Watershed District. No special assessments.

Project Schedule:

Work will begin the week of October 5th and be completed in 2-4 weeks, depending on the weather.
