Fees:

Cash or check only.

  • Sedan: $20
  • Standard vehicle: $40 (most vehicles)
  • Trailer up to 8’: $60
  • Trailer over 8’: $120
  • Oversized loads: $140 (includes u-haul vehicles)
  • Trailer or vehicle over 16’: not allowed

  • Appliances
  • Tires (limit 4)
  • Cardboard
  • Scrap metal
  • Carpeting
  • Furniture
  • BBQ grills
  • Lawnmowers (empty of all fluids)
  • Snow blowers (empty of all fluids)

Items NOT accepted:

  • Household hazardous waste (including paint, chemicals, lightbulbs, automotive fluids)
  • Brush/yard waste
  • Electronics
  • Bikes
  • Mattresses
  • RV refrigerators
  • Oversized items such as hot tubs, boats, or sheds
  • Engines containing gasoline or oil
  • Materials from private contractor

Curbside mattress collection

Shoreview is partnering with Second Chance Recycling and Ramsey/Washington Recycling & Energy to offer a cost share program for curbside mattress collection in June and October 2026.

  • Collection dates available the first two weeks in June
  • Discounted price of $15 per item 
  • Limit four items per household

Scheduling for mattress pickup will begin in late May on Second Chance Recycling's website

Free Fix-it clinics

Get household items fixed for free and learn valuable repair skills at an upcoming Fix-It Clinic. Residents can bring in small household appliances, clothing, electronics, and more to receive free guided assistance from volunteers with repair skills to disassemble, troubleshoot, and fix items.
