Project details
Ramsey County Parks & Recreation is constructing trail improvements at Snail Lake Regional Park north of Gramsie Road and south of Snail Lake Road. Construction is scheduled for 2026. The project will consist of pavement removal and replacement of all the trail from Gramsie Road to Snail Lake Road and Snail Lake Blvd loop, as well as an east west boardwalk in the wetland to replace perpetually flooded trail. The project also includes improvements to reduce flooding when water in the area rises.
Tree removal work has begun along the trail. Tree removals are expected to be completed by April 1, 2026.
