2025 County Road I boardwalk reconstruction

This project will replace the boardwalk on County Road I between Lexington Avenue and Chatsworth Street. The boardwalk is nearing the end of its useful life and the replacement will include upgrades to meet current design and accessibility standards. This project is part of the city's ongoing work to maintain transportation infrastructure for our residents.

No assessments will be associated with this project. The project is funded through the city's capital asset replacement fund and Ramsey County's locally-led project grant funding.

The city council awarded the construction contract for the County Road I boardwalk project to Grit Contracting, LLC.

The boardwalk will be closed during construction.  Trail-users may detour on Chatsworth Street, to Royal Oaks Drive to Lexington Avenue to travel around the construction.
