Slice of Shoreview advisory board
Provides guidance on the city's annual festival, Slice of Shoreview. They work with city staff, community partners, and volunteers to ensure the festival aligns with the city's goals, budget, safety standards, and community values. Their responsibilities include:
- Providing ideas for festival programming and entertainment.
- Volunteering on-site for six hours during the festival.
- Evaluating post-event outcomes and recommending improvements.
- Making recommendations to city staff and/or the parks and recreation commission.
Meetings
Meetings will take place in January, May, and August. Additional meetings may be scheduled as needed.
Members
The city is currently recruiting for members to start in January 2027. The city council will approve appointments in December 2026 or January 2027. Initial terms will vary between two and three years.
The board will include the following:
- One to two representatives from the parks and recreation commission
- Six residents
- Two to four student representatives from Mounds View or Roseville school districts
- Members of the 2026 Slice of Shoreview planning committee
- Representatives from local groups such as:
- Gallery 96
- Shoreview/Arden Hills Rotary Club
- Shoreview Community Foundation
- Shoreview Community Garden Club
- Shoreview-Einhausen Sister City Association
- Shoreview Historical Society
- Shoreview Northern Lights Variety Band
